En el marco de la entrega de becas de postgrado de la Fundación Iberdrola el pasado jueves, el Rey Felipe VI insistió en la necesidad de aumentar la inversión en investigación, “ineludible” para que un país quiera crecer de forma independiente y alcanzar los objetivos que se fija sin depender de “los esfuerzos de otros”.

Tras elogiar a los talentos becados por la Fundación, el monarca también recordó a los casi 700 jóvenes que no lograron una beca, a quienes ha animado a perseverar y a considerar esto como una oportunidad de aprendizaje, en lugar de como un fracaso. Las becas que otorga la Fundación se relacionan con la energía y el ambiente, claves para promover el bienestar social.

 

 

“Si la energía es una condición imprescindible para el bienestar y el desarrollo económico, el medio ambiente –su salud y su equilibrio– son condiciones inexcusables para la vida. De este modo, no podemos renunciar a ninguno de los dos y, a la vez, debemos trabajar a favor de ambos”, expresó.

 

 

El monarca también ha animado a la Fundación a trabajar y a ”mantener y reforzar en lo posible” las ayudas. Las 95 becas fueron entregadas a estudiantes e investigadores de España, Reino Unido, EEUU, México y Brasil, de 800 candidatos, para completar su formación superior en nuestro país, Reino Unido y Estados Unidos. Las becas financian cursos de postgrado o proyectos de investigación.
