La Facultad de Medicina de la Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM) en el Campus de Ciudad Real, en colaboración con la Gerencia de Atención Integrada, celebra por cuarto año el ciclo de Seminarios de Investigación. La iniciativa será inaugurada mañana, 3 de octubre, por la científica española María Blasco.

La directora del Centro Nacional de Investigaciones Oncológicas, María Blasco Marhuenda, será la encargada de abrir el IV ciclo de los Seminarios de Investigación que la Facultad de Medicina del Campus de Ciudad Real organiza en colaboración con la Gerencia de Atención Integrada. La prestigiosa científica española, especializada en los telómeros y la telomerasa, pronunciará la conferencia El origen de la enfermedad, en la que hablará de los principios del cáncer.

La conferencia de María Blasco se celebrará el 3 de octubre, a partir de las 13.30 horas, en el Hospital General Universitario de Ciudad Real, en el marco de una iniciativa que pretende crear redes colaborativas entre hospitales, centros de atención primaria y centros de investigación, así como fomentar el interés por la investigación en el ámbito biosanitario.

Los ponentes que participarán en el ciclo durante el primer trimestre son todos investigadores de reconocido prestigio que lideran o forman parte de grupos que han desarrollado líneas de trabajo relevantes.

Entre ellos se encuentra David García Dorado, jefe del servicio de Cardiología del Hospital Universitario Vall d’Hebron, quien intervendrá el 24 de octubre. En noviembre le tocará el turno a Joan Seoane Suárez, profesor de Investigación de la Institución Catalana de Investigación y Estudios Avanzados (ICREA); y a Alberto Ortiz Arduan, jefe del servicio de Nefrología de la Fundación Jiménez Díaz de Madrid, los días 7 y 21, respectivamente. José María Ruiz Moreno, catedrático de Oftalmología de la Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha y profesional del Complejo Universitario Hospitalario de Albacete, cerrará el primer trimestre de este nuevo ciclo de seminarios.
