El sector de la impresión 3D que permite realizar copias de objetos en tres dimensiones, tendrá un importante centro en España ya que HP ha anunciado que en su centro mundial de impresión de Barcelona, en San Cugat, tendrá competencia en esta materia.
Pero además, España será la sede de la primera edición del European 3D Printing Summit que se celebrará en Madrid los días 19 y 20 de noviembre y que reunirá en más de 20.000 metros cuadrados a expertos mundiales de los sectores industriales más interesados en esa técnica.
La tecnología 3D se presenta como una gran oportunidad para reducir costes ya que permite fabricar en el momento, bajo demanda, los productos que se necesitan sin tener que almacenarlos ni transportarlos.
El problema que los técnicos tratan de solucionar es la velocidad y la calidad y los ingenieros de los laboratorios de HP y de la unidad de negocio de impresión de Barcelona trabajan para resolverlos.
A finales del año fiscal de HP que concluye en octubre, esta multinacional prevé hacer ya un gran anuncio por lo que podría estar en la feria de noviembre en Madrid.
Avances y tendencias
El European 3d Printing Summit debatirá sobre el futuro del mundo de la impresión 3D y mostrará algunos de los avances y tendencias más significativos.
Este encuentro abordará desde los retos y nuevos materiales hasta los aspectos de estandarización y aspectos legales y patentes de este nuevo modelo de consumo.
La previsiones de la consultora Canalys es que este sector facturará este año en el mundo unos 3.800 millones de dólares pero que las ventas crecerán un 500 % en los próximos cinco años.
El centro de San Cugat es la sede de la impresión de gran formato más grande del mundo y es la responsable de I+D, Marketing y Operaciones del negocio de impresoras de gran formato de HP.
